It's too hot!

10 weeks 1 day

I'm at risk of being typically English here but I just can't cope with the hot weather! It's bad enough that I can't sleep because it's too hot at night but then throw in a baby into the mix and you spend the whole night worrying that their going to overheat. Not a happy mummy. It's 27degrees in our bedroom for heavens sake!

Thankfully so far the heat hasn't overly affected her (touch wood!) as I expected her to be crying a lot more which hasn't happened. So far.

However, it has seemed to affect her night sleeping as she's regressed and isn't sleeping past 2.30 and then is up again at 4, 5 & 6. Which isn't fun for anyone. Am trying to implement a mixture of routines at the mo; Gina Ford, Jo Tantum, the Baby Whisperer etc. Mainly the principles of trying to get F to nap for 3-3.5 hours during the day (ideally a two hour nap at some point) and not after 5pm and then bedtime around 7ish and a dream feed at 10.30-11pm so she sleeps her longest stretch when I'm also asleep. So far it's not worked but I'm sticking with it as these things don't improve overnight. Literally!

Anyway, here's a pic of F sleeping her two hour nap. And yes, she's not in her crib nor in the pram. Beggars can't be choosers!

Oh and Murray won Wimbledon today. Hoorah!
